프랑스어 독학 1. 모음의 발음 총정리

오늘 정리할 내용은 다시 처음부터 공부하기 시작한 Gail Stein의  입니다.
영어로 프랑스어를 배우는 책으로, 아주 애용하는 책입니다.

그럼, 앞으로 열심히 프랑스어를 공부할 것을 다짐하며 바로 요약 정리를 해보도록 하겠습니다.

Chapter 2 발음

Liaison (linking) : linking of the final consonant of one word with the beginning vowel of the next word
예) Vous arrivez (voo zah-ree-vay) / mon ami (mohN nah-mee)

Elision (sliding) : two pronounced vowel sounds, one at the end of a word, and the other at the beginning of the next word. The first 
vowel is dropped and replaced by an apostrophe('). To pronounce the words, simply slide them together.
예) Je arrive : J'arrive (zah-reev) / le hotel : l'hotel (lo-tehl)

h,y는 불어에서 모음으로 취급함


Accent Marks
-accent aigu (´) is seen only on an é : sounds (ay) as in day.(에이. 단어 끝의 er, ez 모두 에이 발음 + 일부 단일 음절 단어가 es로 끝나
는 경우)
-accent grave is used with a (à), e (è), and u (ù). è 발음은 met의 에, 기타 a (à) or u (ù)는 악센트 없는 발음과 동일
-accent circonflexe: â, ê, î, ô, û. The vowel sounds are longer for â and ô, are slightly longer for ê, and are imperceptible on î and 
û.
-trema (..) : 2번째 연속 모음에 표시 시 각각 발음. Haïti (ay-ee-tee), Noël (noh-ehl).

è, ê, et, ei, ai and e (plus two consonants 예 sept / final pronounced consonant 예 chef): 에

final pronounced consonant : careful c,r,f,l 
기타 자음은 단어의 마지막에 올 경우 무음임.

i, i, y, ui : 이 (magazine)

i + ll il : y (your)
ill, ail, or eil에서 l 발음 x 예) fille : fee-y, travail : trah-vahy


ô, au, eau, o(+s or 단어끝) : no의 o (오)

o(+s 제외 자음) : love의 oh (오와 어 사이) 느낌 예) notre : nohtr

ou, où, oû oo : 우 oo as in tooth

oy, oi : 와 wah w as in watch

u, û : 우이 ew like sue와 see 사이 

an (am), en (em) : ahN 앙 Similar to on with little emphasis on n

in (im), ain (aim) : aN 인 Similar to an with little emphasis on n

oin : waN 왕 Similar to wa of wag 예) loin lwaN 

ien : yaN 이양 Similar to yan of Yankee

on (om) : ohN 옹 Similar to on as in long

un (um) : uhN 언 Similar to un as in under
